The oldest record that I can currently trace of my family line is back to the 1500’s.  Simon and Catherine Leach go back 14 generations and this line leads to my grandmother Emily Brosnan.  The names flow from Leach (5 generations), to Houltan (3 generations), to Durden, to Wareing (3 generations), to Brosnan and to Woodhouse.

Below is a copy of the first page of Simon Leach’s will that was written in 1591.  He died later that year.
